Colossians 3:10-11
Colossians 3:10-11 - "...put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him -- a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all and in all."
Verse 10 is a reminder that it is possible for us to take the negative traits listed in verses 5-9 out of our lives only by the power of Christ. God desires to remake us in His image. That is something He does. We cannot do it in our own power. No matter how hard we try, unless our lives are renewed by the power of Christ, we will always fall back into immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, greed, anger, wrath, malice, slander, abusive speech, and untruthfulness.
